Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT)

Shockwave for the clinic, focused or radial.

Two PulseWave systems from RegenOMedix: the Elite Pro focused system for deeper targets up to 75 mm, and the portable MiniWave radial system with 45 preset protocols. Compare them side by side, then ask MDM which one fits your patients.

The systems

Two ways to offer shockwave.

Most practices start with one system and add the other as demand grows. Both are sold to licensed providers only, with pricing and financing quoted on request.

Practice case study · South Florida chiropractic clinic

How a chiropractic office recouped a PulseWave MiniWave in 3 months.

Published by RegenOMedix (Dr. David L., DC — South Florida). Shared with context and limits so you can see how a musculoskeletal clinic introduced radial ESWT.

UNDER $9,000PulseWave MiniWave costPortable 1.3 kg radial ESWT system with 45 preset anatomical protocols and 6–36 mm transmitters
3 MONTHSTo recoup the machine on 8 patientsPriced at $250 per cash-pay session; no licensed injector required to operate
2× ORTHO REVENUEReported within 8 monthsUsed across lower back pain, rotator cuff, and neck pain alongside routine chiropractic care
01

Staff-operated 10–15 min sessions

Trained support staff ran radial treatments using the tablet's 45 preset protocols — no licensed injector required, keeping doctor time free.

02

Complimentary first-treatment trial

Offered a free initial shockwave session to existing/past patients and local gyms and tennis clubs so patients could feel immediate feedback before committing.

03

Cash-pay packages at $250/session

Converted trial visits into multi-session orthopedic packages, recouping the sub-$9,000 device cost on the first 8 patients in 90 days.

Context & limits: Manufacturer case study published by RegenOMedix; single-practice commercial report, not a controlled clinical trial. Individual clinic payback and revenue vary by local cash pricing, patient volume, and state scope-of-practice rules.

Which one fits

Match the system to your patients.

01

Start with radial

Portable and lower cost to start, with preset protocols. Common in PT, chiropractic, and sports medicine for superficial soft-tissue work.

02

Add focused for depth

A controllable focal zone up to 75 mm for deeper targets. Common in orthopedics, podiatry, pain, and men's health practices.

03

Pairs with what you offer

The manufacturer describes shockwave alongside PRP and other regenerative protocols, as a cash-pay service line.

04

Training and support

MDM coordinates the manufacturer demo, onboarding, and staff in-services, and stays your contact for transmitters and service. See a certification course.

Training & certification · RegenOMedix training partner

PRP-X+ LifeLift™ Training & Certification

Full-day training on the science behind each modality, treatment protocols, explaining options to patients, pricing, and marketing, with live demonstrations of hair regeneration, orthopedic, and aesthetic treatments. Ends with a certificate of completion. Shockwave (ESWT) is one of the modalities covered.

  • PRP & PRF
  • Shockwave (ESWT)
  • Microneedling
  • Exosomes
  • Ultrasound guidance
  • Stem cells
  • Peptides
  • Light therapy
  • Medical marketing

The optional Day Two hands-on session has limited class size and requires eligibility review; participants must be licensed injectors in their state.

Please note: Training is provided by My Medical Training, RegenOMedix's training partner; MDM can help you connect with the right session. A certificate of completion does not expand licensure, prescribing authority, or scope of practice. Confirm current dates, tuition, and eligibility with My Medical Training before registering.

How it works, briefly

Acoustic energy, delivered two ways.

Shockwave delivers short, high-energy acoustic pulses through the skin. Focused and radial systems differ in how that energy spreads and how deep it reaches.

Focused

Converges at a set depth

Energy peaks at a focal point beneath the skin that the clinician sets, up to 75 mm on the Elite Pro, for deeper tendon, bone, and joint structures.

Radial

Spreads from the surface

Energy is highest at the transmitter and spreads outward, covering broader superficial muscle and tendon areas. Interchangeable 6–36 mm transmitters shape the treatment area.

Safety

Before you start

For use by trained clinicians per the IFU. The manufacturer reports temporary discomfort, redness, or mild soreness as the usual side effects. Review contraindications in the IFU before treating.
